Welcome.

We established Hidden Market Consulting as a vehicle to realise our Vision; to uplift and surpass the benchmark level of service in the recruitment industry, exceed the expectations of our Clients and Candidates (jointly, our Customers), and contributing to the profitability of our clients through the delivery of business focused HR solutions.

Starting with a blank canvas, we have designed our systems, procedures and processes to reflect our belief that effective selection and management of talent is the key to growing any business. We partner with clients to improve their productivity, performance and people management through a structured assessment and collaborative planning process.  As a member of a the largest National HR Coaching Network, and an affiliate of the National HR Research Institute, we have access to relevant information on current HR issues and exclusive metrics based tools that assist us to contribute to our client’s bottom line.

We are passionate believers in the power of the Hidden Market and in pro-active recruitment strategies that result in better matches and reduced costs for our customers. We also believe in our ability to make accurate matches that are successful in the long-term, which is why we guarantee each placement for a period of 6 months. To ensure our Clients and Candidates are both happy with our service, and to ensure the ongoing success of each placement we offer a unique Post-Placement Care program at no charge to our Clients.

Of course, we can’t do it all ourselves. We are growing a team of outstanding consultants and coaches who are committed to upholding our service standards and share our passion for assisting others to achieve their goals. That’s why we have designed an industry-leading compensation scheme that rewards repeat business and supports our long-term approach to doing business.

After working with the the world's largest specialised finance and accounting recruitment agency (the "Agency”) in London, Mark immigrated to Australia to establish the permanent recruitment division for the Agency in Brisbane. In his first year in the Brisbane marketplace, Mark became the top-ranked consultant in Australasia. Mark recruited and trained 5 new consultants with no prior recruitment experience to create a high-performing team, and a very successful business.

In 2007 Mark established himself as the number one permanent producer for the Agency in the world, and the only Consultant in the Company’s 60 year history outside of the United States to achieve this honor. He achieved this while managing a team of 6 high-performers, and rolling out a comprehensive training program for accessing the passive or ‘Hidden’ job-market, Australia-wide. Also in 2007 Mark was ranked in the top 3 executive recruiters in Australia at the Fairfax Recruitment Awards. Mark holds a degree in International Business and an MBA in Corporate Finance.

  • To define clearly the frequency and purpose of communication between all parties, according to the circumstances of each assignment, and adhere to this agreement.
  • To respect the confidential nature of the information we are privy to.
  • To solicit regular, structured feedback from our Candidates and Clients to enable us to improve the quality and efficiency of our service, and to allow our Consultants to be rewarded appropriately for a job well done.
  • To evaluate each interaction with our Candidates and Clients as either constructive or destructive to our long-term relationship, and when in doubt, choosing that course of action that strengthens our long-term relationship.
  • To remember that the opportunity to assist each of our Clients and Candidates to achieve their goals is both an honour and privilege. We respect this trust and commit to deliver what we promise to deliver.
